Meet The Candidate
Involved. Invested. In tune.
Greetings everyone! I am Antonio Butler and I am running to be your next Student Government Association (SGA) Student Body President! I'm from Nashville, Tennessee, and I am a rising senior majoring in Supply Chain Management with a collateral in Marketing, and a Leadership Studies Minor. Over the past three years I have found family in each organization I have decided to join. From being in The Multicultural Mentoring Program as a mentee, and now mentor, the former Public Relations Chair for MMP, and now Vice President, to being a Minority Enhancement for The University of Tennessee member, Volunteer Team member, Brother United For Excellence member, Student Alumni Association member , an Ignite Serves Team Leader, an Emerging Leader, and a member of Collegiate Black Christians, I feel I have gained the knowledge and skills needed to be the most qualified person to run SGA. Through the organizations listed above I have consistently enhanced my abilities and knowledge of not only campus, but issues that affect us outside of campus. Through helping host interested students on overnight trips, help plan and hold symposiums for first-year students, plan and host events for current students on-campus, discuss issues with faculty and administration, and develop relationships with alumni, I feel fully prepared to deal with every stakeholder invested in The University of Tennessee-Knoxville, while maintaining and keeping the student body voice first in every matter I handle. I have given each organization I have joined all I have, and will use all the skills and lessons each organization taught me to be the most dynamic, competent, and influential President you have ever seen. I gained so much from each organization and I feel it is time for me to affect campus on a broader level, and that is why I am running to become your next SGA President.

Creating a sustainable campus environment, where students are environmentally conscious of the decisions they make and their impact on the environment. Through increased awareness on sustainability initiatives through SGA and active ways to get students involved in initiatives.
